Amazon Jungle Palace

Located on the left bank of Rio Negro, about 45 minutes from Manaus (with access by boat), the Jungle Palace is a floating jungle hotel that has a recent history just like ours.

Founded a year ago, the hotel was built to inspire a tourism in which the experience of being in the middle of the Amazon rainforest benefit not only tourists but also the environment. This starts with a sustainable building, with most of the energy coming from solar panels, an use of certified wood, a water treatment, and an adequate disposal of the garbage. And moreover, with a work for income generation, integration and social activities with the local communities. For them, the importance of tourism has a simple logic: if you bring more people to the Amazon, they feel they also belong to the forest, they become part of it, which promotes greater respect and care.

The TEDxAmazon will be one of the first events held in the Floating Auditorium, which has just been built. A space embraced by the jungle, which will host our meeting.
